It is  always controversial. It got look it got style but its hardware sucks. On the other side, it got awesome engines under its hood but it look stone-age. On the right we got the nerdy windows based notebook, Acer Aspire TimelineX 3820TG. On the left, here it is pretty boy. Apple MacBook Pro 13".  It's face off time ! Who's gonna win? The X or The Pro.

LOOKS. The boring and stone-age looks of windows notebook keep haunting its possible buyer. But in notebook world, looks must be practical. So before you put a lot of effort into saving, remember what you intended to experience with your future notebook. If you want to put it on document editing, writings, some web surfing and some entertainment. Stone-age one still can deliver it all perfectly.

OS. Compare to OS X, windows is a bit clumsy and slow. Especially on start up. But when it come to software, it is rich. It's very easy to grab one. They are everywhere. Even one to mimic the look and feel of OS X. Be wise on what software you want to install and how many alternatives of that software is available on that particular OS in your particular store. Because once you had hard time finding one for yours, cursing it, is not gonna solve your problem. The last thing you want on your notebook is making it useless. 

BUDGET. One important thing to decide for the right notebook is, to know yourself first. If you have a lot of money, rather than waste it on something you'll regret, you better use it for charity. Observe the spec, observe your lifestyle. Once you are sure with what you, then you can go with that decision. But if your budget is tight. It's better to forget it once and for all and don't bother to loan from loan sharks. You see, there is always nice and much more capable notebook launched tomorrow. In near future. why not save up a little, wait and you'll probably get the best deal of a lifetime, good look and better specs.

WEIGHT. Since nowadays, we always on constant move. That's the reason why tablet become majestic. You have meeting here, and there, and need to write report along the way.  Need to prepare sudden presentation. Need to sketch a chart on that statistic, and you are on your way to the toilet. Your boss demand you to submit the report now. You can not leave your  notebook. You're so busy and rushy that people thought you a cockroach. So if you have this kind of life, weight is definitely something to consider about. Especially the girl. They are very concern about the weight of their gadget as same as how they concern about their own weight. The more your notebook is on diet, the more its powerful hardware become shitty. So if you want something that's light, prepare to invest more.
